I haven't hunted unakite for several years, but I used to find quite a bit aound Syria, Virginia in the streams feeding the Rose River. Unakite is more or less a granite with the main ingediants a pistacio colored epidote and a pinkish feldspar with a little bit of quartz and some other minerals tossed in. Most of what I gathered had an iron stain over it so the pink looked orange.
