Okay, so technically it's just "included," but I still haven't found any references to quartz from Cape May having "inclusions" of anything that resemble rutile. And that, rather than the precise definition, is what made me curious.

The inclusions in this little piece are a shiny metallic goldish color, straight needles in singles and in bunches. Again, it's just a small piece, hardly big enough to make a single earring dangle. When I take them out of the tumbler on Thursday morning, I'll scan it (I can get better detail with my scanner than with a digital photo) and post it to photobucket. I understand that its chemical composition can't be determined by a picture, but at least you'll know what I'm talking about.
