Re: Rock hounding Eureka Utah Hey Ozzy, I have found a lot of mineral samples around that area, but not much to brag about. BUT, if you'll travel down the road a little farther past the Sand Dunes area, you'll find the famous Topaz Mountain area, and the findings around there are limitless. Topaz, Agates, Jaspers, Apache Tears, and some Garnets are all found near Topaz Mountain. To me, it's worth the little extra drive. Hope this helps!
