I think the material is made a lot like those synthetic "marble" bathroom sinks and tubs you see for sale at Home Depot. I believe they fine grind limestone quartz sand, and calcium silicate and mix it with an epoxy resin. Then at some point they add their dyes or pigments but just stir them to produce the desired swirls and layering. After it hardens you have rainbow Calsilica. My opinion anyway. Jim K
