Re: Re: Rock hounding in Missouri Also you might try in Cape Girardeau Missouri for Geodes and other great rocks, as there used to be some there! Have fun and I hope you find some good rocks and minerals from Missouri. I happen to be at Lake Jacomo and saw whitetail deer with spotted fawn, blue herons, kingfishers, turkey, bobcat, bullfrog tadpoles, bluegill, red and blue dragonfly, cicada killer, etc.... and if you do not find the rocks you are looking for, I think you might be able to see lots of great nature in Missouri while you search. Also saw some good fishing techniques from "real fisherman". Does anyone have any information on Cape Gireadeau,Mo. (may ck spelling?) and any luck in finding good mineral and rock specimens?
