Denise, I made a polishing wheel using an old motor from a furnace using a couple 1/2inch pillow blocks, a 7 inch long 1/2 inch bolt, two pulleys, one 1 1/2 inch on the motor and a 3 inch on the polishing wheel end. I used a 6 inch aluminum disc to back a felt wheel for polishing rocks. I use tin oxide with a touch of Raybrite B for polishing with good results. The motor turns at 1750 rpms so the wheel speed is reduced to half at 875 rpms. I will post a picture in the Photo Gallery.
