Howdy! First time posting in here tho I have lurked for a bit. We (hubby, myself and the dog) are planning a trip to Hiddenite for the 4th. I'd love some up to date info on the place. What's the best way to spend your day? Sluicing, creeking or mining? I don't care what I find I just like to find pretty rocks and such. Is this a good place for that? Are the buckets "salted"? What are people finding recently and does anyone know if it will be particularly crowded that weekend? (normally I would avoid doing this in the middle of July like the plaque but an opportunity presented itself!)Thanks for any answers you can give!
