When are you going? I have some info on collecting sites for quartz-lapidary material and can provide you with some fossil collecting sites about 30 or 40 miles away. I also have some info on where to see Effigy Mounds--only a few miles from the Dells and an effigy mound of a man--very rare--which is with-in about ten miles or so. Both sites are easy to get to and free to the public. A famous geological site, Van Hise Rock, is near by--next to the quartz crystal-lapidary mnaterial site (quartzite). E-mail me and I will send you more info and directions, plus many more interesting places in the area. Away from the commercial attractions there are dozens of unique places. Lloyd Brown
