Hello Paul, I remember the cups you are thinking of. I haven't seen them in years but Graves carries a similar product that you have to charge with diamond yourself called Star Cups. These mount to the end of an arbor and are used to grind round beads or round star sapphires, star garnets, etc.. Graves has them listed on their web site.
