sard or rusty quartz?

Greetings everyone.
I am pretty new to all of this internet rock hounding ….
I am just an old fart looking to find some nice stones to cab.
Last year I came upon a gossan of….basalt/mariposite? Coming out of granite bedrock.
The gossan has many large fractures filled with what looks, smells, taste, like quartz.
All but the color? Mostly burnt orange to red / brown but has spots of blue and yellow
Has anyone ever seen something like this before?
Is it just heavily mineralized quartz vein?
I made a cab of the quartz and the host matrix from the contact area. Any help on the id of this rock would be great.
