Some of the red and reddish-white jaspery chert looks like some of the stuff we used to collect at the de-comissioned Steep Rock Lake Iron Ore Mine, in Atikokan, ON. The old pit is slowly filling in with water. Where we used to collect is now under 50 feet of water.
