I’ll be interested to see what the rest of the guys have to say about your problem. I am having a similar problem with “high-grade gem quality; deep blue with lots of pyrite specks”. Although I am not smearing the pyrite over the face of the cab. I am using diamond powder up 50k on top grade cow hide disk. I am getting a decent shine, but not near as good as some of the commercial cut cab’s I have seen in shows.
